Katarína completed her Master’s Degree in Special Pedagogy at the Faculty of Education of the Comenius University in Bratislava. During her university studies, she spent one semester at the international organization L Arche in Slovenia, where she worked as a member of an international team involved in the coordination of facilities and activities for adults with intellectual disabilities, focusing on occupational therapy, art therapy and dance. In her last year at the university, she worked in autistic experimental classes in Bratislava. Subsequently, she devoted several years to the field of autism (diagnosis, therapy, counseling and work with family) in organizations in Bratislava, Žilina and Martin. She later returned abroad to work in the Sense of Scotland Inverness Sheltered Housing Projects. After her return, she spent almost 6 years in the Private Center for Special Pedagogical Counseling in Žilina. Since 2009, she has been working in counseling, therapeutic and diagnostic work with children and the family system. She completed various therapy courses, such as Sand-play, sand-tray; Working with Therapy Cards; Family Board; Scene Test; Tree Test; Reuven Feuerstein's Instrumental Enrichment Training; INPP School Program; Deficits of Partial Functions, Diagnostics by Sindelárová; Partial Weakening of Performance; Diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome; Diagnosis of Children with ASD, APLA, CARS, APLA; Autism and Counseling; Asperger Syndrome Counseling; Childhood Autism. At the same time, she completed psychotherapeutic training in Attachment Therapy, Biofeedback, HRV Biofeedback and Art Therapy. She also completed the long-term psychotherapy training and certification in Process-Oriented Psychotherapy. She is the co-founder of TerraIn, where she provides professional counseling focused on working with children, the family system and adults. Katarina consults in Slovak and English.
