Lenka is a psychologist and therapist with more than 20 years of experience in counseling. She focuses on areas such as partner difficulties, parenting problems with children, learning problems, diagnosis of dyslexia, dysgraphia, dysorthography, dyscalculia, assessment of school readiness, diagnosis of intellect, work with psychosomatic difficulties, eating disorders, sleep disorders, emotional disorders and behavioral disorders in childhood and adolescence. She also provides psycho-diagnostic services (examinations of psychological fitness to carry and hold a weapon, personality assessment). She consults in the Slovak language.
Lenka graduated in Psychology at the University of Pavel Jozef Šafárik in Košice. During her studies, she worked at the Pedagogical-Psychological Counseling Center for secondary schools in Košice, as well as an external lecturer in the peer program of drug addiction prevention, where she visited secondary schools and colleges and gave lectures to students about drug prevention. She worked as a counseling psychologist, later as a clinical psychologist at the Children's Hospital within the Children's Center Department and lectured at the University of Prešov at the Department of Psychology. At the Center for the Treatment of Drug Addictions in Košice, she was engaged in group and individual psychotherapy of addicted patients. She completed long-term psychotherapeutic training in Imaginative-Symbolic Therapy and completed several trainings and courses such as treatment of social phobia PhDr. M. Šlepecký, logotherapeutic approach to the problems of children and adolescents Doc. PhDr. K. Balcar, CSc., many professional seminars with PhDr. Eva Reichelová, CSc., and in diagnostics by the Rorschach method. She is a member of the Slovak Chamber of Psychologists and the Slovak Psychotherapy Society.
