Mária is a psychologist working in the clinic of clinical psychology and psychotherapy, where she provides psychotherapy and psychodiagnosis of children and adults. She is also engaged in an online psychological counseling in the areas of: difficult life situations, coping with stressful events, family and partner relationships, implementing change or developing self-confidence. She uses a systemic approach leading her clients to independence in finding a solution to the given issue and she also uses methods from the cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy and positive psychology. In her approach to the client, humanity, empathy and understanding are important to her, and she is most motivated by positive feedback from the client and their progress. She consults in Slovak and Czech.

Mária received her Master’s Degree in Psychology at the Pan-European University in Bratislava. During her studies she also gained experience at a psychiatric clinic. After graduating university, she joined the Early Intervention Center, where she worked as a psychologist for children with disabilities. She also worked as a psychological counselor in a private kindergarten. In the past, she participated in the international research project EWA (Early Warning of Alzheimer). She completed an accredited educational program in the field of professional activity focused on timely support of a child with a health disadvantage, educational-behavioral intervention for clients with autism spectrum disorders, professional training in the field of motivational interviews when working with clients and training in psychodiagnostic methods, as well as other workshops and professional seminars. She is a member of the Slovak Chamber of Psychologists.
