Alžbeta is a psychologist and therapist who provides individual counseling for adult clients. She deals with the topics of stress, fatigue, motivation, self-confidence, managing emotions, mindfulness, the meaning of life, personal development, career navigation and relationship-related topics. At the meetings, she ensures a safe environment and, with respect for individual experiences, guides the client through the expansion of awareness to understanding the current situation through the here and now experience. She works under supervision and consults in Slovak and English.
Alžbeta studied psychology at the Comenius University in Bratislava. She has completed long-term psychotherapy training in Integrative Gestalt psychotherapy in Prague. In addition to numerous professional seminars, she has completed accredited training in Career Counseling and the Psychedelic Experience Integration. She is attending additional education in Emotion-Focused Therapy under the guidance of Ladislav Timuľák. She is a member of the Slovak Psychological Chamber, the Czech Association for Psychotherapy and the European Association for Psychotherapy.
Throughout her academic tenure, she held positions within the human resources department of an international corporation and volunteered at a low-threshold club for young people in Bratislava. She continued working with youth even after finishing universtity as a psychologist in a therapeutic community at a resocialization facility for juveniles with behavioral disorders caused by the use of psychoactive substances. In addition to leading therapeutic groups, individual counseling, and family groups, she was also responsible for developing individual therapy resocialization plans for clients in collaboration with external experts and members of the therapeutic community.
She gained further experience with addiction issues at the Center for the Treatment of Addictions in Bratislava, where, as a psychologist in the health sector, she participated in the treatment of patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. She deepened her experience with psychotherapeutic groups and the provision of individual psychotherapy. Additionally, she was responsible for performing initial diagnostics, leading didactic groups, providing telephone crisis intervention, and caring for patients with substitution treatment within the harm-reduction program. Alžbeta's professional journey also encompasses a role of a school psychologist at a private elementary school, where she designed and implemented psychoeducational programs while offering personalized counseling services to students and families alike.
